The Tie That Binds  — Preachers Pollard’s Blog

Tuesday’s Column: Dale Mail Dale Pollard When it comes to the families that make up the church, what ties us together is a common bright future. While every family has it’s differences, one constant remains— the church. All strive to follow those guidelines laid out in Scripture. Paul says in Philippians 1:6, “And I’m SURE […]

Kindness In A Rock

Comment a verse:
How Big is God to you? One way we are absolutely unkind to God is when we put him in our back pocket. We pull Him out when we need Him, and put Him back when we don’t. When we cut Him down to a size we can manipulate, we are only hurting our relationship, our Faith. Put God in His rightful place in your life! To God. Be Kind.
Do you have a Bible verse that describes the size of God? Please share.

Job 28:24-28

“by measure” (verse 25) בְּמִדָּה (root מִדָּה) Job 28:24-28, I like the KJV:24 For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven; 25 To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure. 26 When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder: 27 Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out. 28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Suffering Can Take Its Toll

Everyone has a cracking point. This bell even has a cracking point, or I should say, its original had one. This is a replica of the Liberty Bell. That crack shows even bell tolls can take their toll on a bell. When we suffer, we can get to a point of wanting to give up! Just remember suffering is simply a litmus test for your faith. Will your faith hold up under pressure or crack?
Don’t let the toll get the best of you
Be Kind

Anger & Kindness?

“Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil. Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. BE KIND to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you” (Ephesians 4:25–32).
