Our Own Worst Enemy

Morning Message #150

Have you ever felt that you could control yourself? Paul understood that control of self could not come from within self.

“So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. 22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, 23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin” (Romans 7:21-25).

Without God’s word put into practice, we are our own worst enemy.

Root of Bitterness or Kindness?

Bitterness abounds today. How do we remedy it? Holding on to bitterness toward others only hurts the person who is bitter. When we choose kindness as the response, when bitterness is expected, freedom and joy will abound. Do not settle for bitterness, be kind.

The topic of this message and my attire might be fitting for today (day after Braves lost the Pendant)

Be Balanced Be Kind

It’s Fun Friday!

Solomon understood that there is a time for most things. Ecclesiastes 3:1 & 4 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven… a time to weep, and a time to laugh…Having a time for laughter is important to maintain balance. Balance and kindness go hand in hand

Have a Fun Friday
